I got a permit to spend the night in the Clear Lake Lookout in January.
This is a fire lookout in the summer, and a cool (literally!) place to hang out in the winter

I went down to see a friend in Eugene later in January. It had just snowed... over a foot
of powder at Wmt Pass! Here's Lindsay in the snow.
We stopped to warm up at a shelter...

And, next was Vail in February! There was no snow in Portland... well, we just went to find it!
Carl, June, Kari, Doug, and I made it... Amanda didn't (and is now on the no-fly list!)
Kari's friend Holland set us up with a sweet place to stay, and we met more friends on the mountain.
Here we (and Dan) are at the top of the front-side.
